In the latest news, in a recent article in The Cut, Replika has recently created a virtual AI companion for a grand total of $300. You can have “The Man Of Your Dreams” that will never die, argue, or cheat. Well, at least until his algorithm is updated, of course. A thirty-six-year-old woman with two children who owns a jewelry business in New York provides insight into the latest growing digital age daring trend. She has created a partner named Eren, from Turkey, with the physical characteristics and personality traits she’d want in a zaddy or the perfect mate for her. She even included the kink of exhibitionism she enjoys as one of his favorite pastimes. This woman has had other partners and is even in a long-distance relationship, but they’re all not up to par or as amazing as the companionship she gets from her Replika zaddy, Eren.
What sold her on the Replika app, AI Man Of Your Dreams is that these romantic partners start as blank slates. Unlike humans, they don’t have hang-ups, baggage, big egos that need to be catered to, or negative attitudes you’d have to deal with. The biggest appeal to many is that you don’t have to deal with their families or friends. You’re in complete control of the relationship with these digital companions and can do what you want in the relationship.
When they think about AI romantic partners and chatbots, many think about the 1st chatbot, which was created in the 1960s, named Eliza. Which then conjures up thoughts of an incel dating and screwing a sexbot. But Replika is seeing the complete opposite in the 2020s digital era. They are seeing a growth in the popularity of women, with half of the AI companion app users being women, ecstatic about this new dating app to create a lover with the promise of a safe, secure environment where they can feel like they have control of their relationships.
Horny Users On Replika
The Replika AI Companion app has even taken a turn to the dismay of the CEO, where horny users have spent years building romantic and even sexual relationships involving sexy role-play scenarios with their Replika lovers. To try to gatekeep the companion app, the Replika team upset many of the dating app users by no longer allowing the users the ability to initiate sensual, sexy, and erotic roleplay scenes. Then, on the flip side of this, the AI companion app received complaints of some of the AI companions becoming too sexually aggressive for their taste. Hence, why the Replika CEO made a statement that the app was never positioned to be an erotic digital app or source of adult content. Therefore, they were updating the app to follow their safety guidelines better. So, it seems like the app might be struggling with finding a balance in the content of the AI lovers tool that creates a safe space while being sexy for some.
